6. On the vector transition form factors in the Ω- → Ξ0 W- decay
University essay from Uppsala universitet/KärnfysikAbstract : To learn more about the structure of hadrons we study form factors. In the semi-leptonic decay Ω- → Ξ0W- two types of form factors arise namely the vector and axial-vector transition form factors. READ MORE

7. Rare Weak Decays of the Omega Baryon
University essay from Uppsala universitet/KärnfysikAbstract : We study rare decays of the Omega baryon using SU(3) chiral perturbation theory, a successfuleffective field theory of quantum chromodynamics at low energies. At leading-order, we calculatethe branching fractions of the decay Ω− → Ξππ for all possible combinations of pions. READ MORE

8. Quantum Computing in Nuclear Physics
University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematisk fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenAbstract : In this thesis, we investigate many–body systems using simulations of quan- tum computers. Quantum computing is a computational paradigm based on qubits which are defined in a Hilbert space instead of the familiar binary bits. READ MORE

9. A unified view of a family of soliton equations related to spin Calogero-Moser systems
University essay from KTH/FysikAbstract : We study the interconnections between the spin Benjamin-Ono (sBO) and half-wave maps (HWM) equations, a pair of nonlinear partial integro-differential equations that have recently been found to permit multi-soliton solutions, where the time evolution of the constituent solitons can be described in terms of the well-known, completely integrable, spin Calogero-Moser (sCM) system. By considering a symmetry transformation of the sCM dynamics we are led to introduce a scale parameter into the sBO equation, yielding what we call the rescaled sBO (rsBO) equation, which has both the sBO and HWM equations as special cases. 10. A numerical implementation of the chirality-flow formalism
University essay from Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisationAbstract : The chirality-flow formalism has proven to make amplitude calculations in the Standard Model analytically simple in comparison to previously established formalisms. To test the viability of the chirality-flow formalism for numerical implementations, a Chiral Automized Flow Extension (CAFE) for MadGraph5_aMC@NLO has been developed to compare amplitude evaluation time scaling between the two.
