  1. 1. Focal Spot Optimization Using Spatial Light Modulation and a Phase Retrieval Algorithm

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Atomfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Robert Petersen; [2023]
    Keywords : Spatial Light Modulation; Phase Retrieval Algorithm; Focal Spot Optimization; Adaptive Optics; Wavefront Sensing; Lasers; Physics and Astronomy; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Aberrations to the wavefront of a laser beam reduce the quality of the focal spot and are generally undesired. This project is aimed at determining the aberrations of laser beams by using a phase retrieval algorithm and to show that it is possible to correct the aberrations with a spatial light modulator to optimize the focal spot. 2. 2. Grönskans plats vid förtätning : rumslig analys av miljonprogramsområden samt gestaltning med bevarad grönska

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Urban and Rural Development

    Author : Disa Beckman; Pia Dahlman; [2022]
    Keywords : förtätning; miljonprogram; mänsklig skala; rumslig analys; stadsmorfologi; grönstruktur;

    Abstract : I den här uppsatsen studeras grönområden i miljonprogramsområden och deras ursprungliga idé samt hur de påverkas av senare förtätning. Med miljonprogram avses byggandet mellan åren 1965 och 1974 med målet att uppföra en miljon bostäder på tio år. Områdena påverkas idag i hög utsträckning av ytterligare bostadsbyggande. READ MORE

  3. 3. Development of a tool to analyze back-focus characteristics of fix-focal cameras

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Innovation

    Author : Björn Lind; [2022]
    Keywords : Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Fix-focal cameras require careful alignment of the sensor relative to the lens during assembly in order to produce a sharp image. Axis developed wide- and fish-eye network cameras are, for a number of reasons, focused at infinity when aligned. READ MORE

  4. 4. K-POP: Predicting Distance to Focal Plane for Kato-Katz Prepared Microscopy Slides Using  Deep Learning

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Author : Hannes Fredrik Kuchelmeister; [2022]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Neglected tropical diseases affect approximately one-sixth of the global population. Most are treatable with widely available medicine, however, diagnosis is expensive and slow. An automated solution using low-cost microscopes and machine learning could alleviate this by scanning for parasite eggs in smear samples. READ MORE

  5. 5. Sexually segregated habitat selection in Daubenton’s bat Myotis daubentonii

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Wildlife, Fish and Environmental Studies

    Author : Esnart Emma Bwalya Chibwe; [2021]
    Keywords : sexual segregation; Daubenton’s bat; Myotis daubentonii; landscape analysis; habitat selection; foraging;

    Abstract : Sexual segregation is a phenomenon present in many vertebrate taxa, including the bat order Chiroptera. Sexual segregation is a social and/or habitat separation based on sex and is driven by varying causes such as sexual dimorphism, resource and physiological limitations, predator avoidance and many other factors.
