  1. 1. Multiple-Emitter Super-resolution Imaging using the Alternating Descent Conditional Gradient Method

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Author : Dolev Illouz; [2023]
    Keywords : super-resolution; alternating descent conditional gradient method; ADCG; multiple-emitter localization; nanoscale imaging; single molecule tracking; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : This thesis examines the state-of-the-art 2D super-resolution technique alternating descent conditional gradient (ADCG) method's ability to accurately localize fluorophores in diffraction-limited single molecule images (SMI) and analyze the impact of pre-processing and post-processing modules on ADCG's fluorophore localization. A synthetic dataset obtained from the 2013 Grand Challenge localization microscopy and a temporally linked dataset obtained from an unpublished set of Optical DNA mapping experiments performed by Jonathan Jeffet at the NanoBioPhotonix Lab at Tel-Aviv University were initially segmented to extract their noise parameters. 2. 2. Correlation between Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and in vitro organic matter digestibility (IVOMD) of reindeer pasture plants : Korrelation mellan Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) och smältbarhet av renbetesväxter i vomvätska in vitro (VOS)

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Animal Nutrition and Management

    Author : Jannica Helmersson; [2023]
    Keywords : Normalized Difference Vegetation Index; NDVI; in vitro organic matter digestibility; IVOMD; VOS; caribou; Rangifer tarandus; reindeer pasture plants; drone;

    Abstract : Renen livnär sig på många olika betesväxter och den följer växtfenologins utveckling under barmarkssäsongen, vilket resulterar i högkvalitativt foderintag. Levande växtbiomassa kan uppskattas på landskapsnivå genom att använda vegetationsindex som värderar vegetation utifrån spektrala mätningar. READ MORE

  3. 3. Detection of Pests in Agriculture Using Machine Learning

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för systemteknik

    Author : Emma Olsson; [2022]
    Keywords : machine learning; svm; sliding window; mask r-cnn; yolov5;

    Abstract : Pest inventory of a field is a way of knowing when the thresholds for pest controlis reached. It is of increasing interest to use machine learning to automate thisprocess, however, many challenges arise with detection of small insects both intraps and on plants. READ MORE

  4. 4. Non-Destructive Biomass and Relative Growth Rate Estimation in Aeroponic Agriculture using Machine Learning

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematik LTH

    Author : Oskar Åström; [2022]
    Keywords : Machine Learning; Image Analysis; Aeroponics; Hydroculture; Relative Growth Rate; Multi-variate Regression; Neural Network; ResNet; Plant Growth; Plant Physiology; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Optimising plant growth in a controlled climate requires good measurements of both biomass (measured in grams) and relative growth rate (measured in grams of growth per day and gram of plant). In order to do this efficiently and continuously on an individual level during plant development, this has to be done non-destructively and without frequent and labor intensive weighing of plant biomass. 5. 5. Basil-GAN

    University essay from KTH/Matematisk statistik

    Author : Jonatan Risberg; [2022]
    Keywords : GAN; mathematical statistics; deep neural networks; generative models; latent space exploration; sequential data; GAN; matematisk statistik; djupa neurala nätverk; generativa modeller; utforskning av latenta rum; sekventiell data;

    Abstract : Developments in computer vision has sought to design deep neural networks which trained on a large set of images are able to generate high quality artificial images which share semantic qualities with the original image set. A pivotal shift was made with the introduction of the generative adversarial network (GAN) by Goodfellow et al.. READ MORE
