  1. 1. BCP Lithography Defined Arrays of InAs NWs Grown Using MOVPE with Au Seeds

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Lunds Tekniska Högskola; Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik

    Author : Björn Landeke-Wilsmark; [2022]
    Keywords : Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : In this report we outline a detailed process flow for a quick and inexpensive implementation of large dense arrays of InAs nanowires (NWs) grown in the reactive ion etching/etched (RIE) pores of a SiO2/SiNx mask on top of an InAs/Si(111) substrate. The self-assembled (hexagonally close-packed) pattern of poly(methyl-methacrylate) (PMMA) cylinders in a poly(styrene) (PS) matrix adopted by a linear diblock poly(styrene-block-methyl-methacrylate) P(S-b-MMA) block-copolymer (BCP) was transferred to the dielectric stack (consisting of a ≈10 nm plasma enhanced chemical vapour deposition/deposited (PECVD) SiNX layer topped by a thin atomic layer deposition/deposited (ALD) SiO2 film) using a two-step RIE procedure. 2. 2. Design and Fabrication of 1550 nm Photonic Crystal Surface Emitting Lasers

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : João Martins de Pina; [2018]
    Keywords : Photonic crystal; surface-emitting laser; metal organic chemical vapour deposition; III-V semi- conductors; light emitting diode.;

    Abstract : In this study, the design and fabrication of a monolithic InP-based 1550-nm photonic-crystal surfaceemitting laser (PCSEL) is reported. The device is composed by an InGaAsP multi-quantum well (MQW) active layer and InP photonic crystal (PhC) formed by metal organic chemical vapour deposition (MOCVD). READ MORE

  3. 3. Understanding Sn-seeded InSb nanowire growth

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik

    Author : Hengfang Zhang; [2017]
    Keywords : Science General;

    Abstract : III-Sb semiconductor nanowires have drawn a lot of attention because of their many promising applications, such as thermoelectric generation, low power high efficient electronics and quantum transport. Gold as a catalyst seed particle has been dominating for many years assisting nanowires growth. READ MORE
