  1. 1. An Introduction to Hitchin Systems

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematik LTH; Lunds universitet/Matematik (naturvetenskapliga fakulteten); Lunds universitet/Matematikcentrum

    Author : Manuel Neumayer; [2023]
    Keywords : Mathematics and Statistics;

    Abstract : This thesis aims to introduce the tools that are needed to understand — and historically led to the inception of — Hitchin systems. We lay out a basic theory of Hamiltonian systems on symplectic manifolds, and prove the Liouville-Arnold theorem, which states that integrable Hamiltonian systems admit coordinates in which their solution is basically linear. 2. 2. Injectable and shape-retaining collagen hydrogel, crosslinked using bio-orthogonal cycloaddition chemistry

    University essay from KTH/Fiber- och polymerteknologi

    Author : Murtaza Sharq; [2022]
    Keywords : Injectable and shape-retaining collagen hydrogel; crosslinked using bio-orthogonal cycloaddition chemistry; Injicerbara och formbevarande kollagenhydrogeler; tvärbundna med bio-ortagonal cykloadditionskemi;

    Abstract : Under senaste decennierna, har intresset kring implantat från naturliga och syntetiska polymerer ökat markant i samband med en ökad marknadsefterfrågan på vävnadsdonationer. Detta har lett till efterforskningen av nya in-situ formerande geler med formbevarande egenskaper in-vivo. READ MORE

  3. 3. Magnetic Resonance Elastography in Muscle Tissue based on Anisotropic Assumption

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)

    Author : Frederick Holmer Fann; [2022]
    Keywords : Magnetic Resonance Elastography MRE ; Muscle Tissue; Anisotropic MRE reconstruction;

    Abstract : Mechanical properties of muscle tissue are linked to its function. Magnetic Resonance Elastography (MRE) has the capability toquantitively measure these mechanical properties of soft tissue in-vivo. However, most MRE methods assume tissue isotropy during MRE reconstruction which is not an appropriate assumption for muscle tissue. READ MORE

  4. 4. CHARACTERISATION OF CROSS LAMINATED TIMBER PROPERTIES

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Byggnadsmekanik; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för byggvetenskaper

    Author : Emil Nilsson; [2021]
    Keywords : CLT; cross laminated timber; in-plane loading; out-of-plane loading; beam; rolling shear modulus; experimental tests; FE-modelling; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : This project concerns an analysis of a hitherto untested method for determining the modulus of elasticity (MoE) and shear modulus parallel to grain, as well as the rolling shear modulus of cross laminated timber (CLT) through 3-point bending tests. A review of analytical models and methods is included, followed by an evaluation of the effect of the annual ring orientation and shear stress distribution at shear loading of individual board cross-sections. 5. 5. Localisation and Mapping for an Autonomous Lawn Mower : Implementation of localisation and mapping features for an autonomous lawn mower using heterogeneous sensors

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Marco Boffo; [2021]
    Keywords : Autonomous Mobile Robot; Sensor Fusion; Localisation; Mapping; Robot mobili autonomi; fusione di sensori; localizzazione; mappatura; Autonom mobil robot; sensorfusion; lokalisering; kartläggning;

    Abstract : Autonomous lawn mowers have been available to consumers for more than 20 years. During this period, advancements in embedded device computations and sensor performance have led to improvements in the reliability of these robots. Despite recent improvements, the opportunity for further innovation of such systems remains significant. READ MORE
