    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö; Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Energi och byggnadsdesign

    Author : Aleksandra Milkova; Mohamed Soliman; [2024]
    Keywords : Keywords: Energy use; Reduce energy; EU; IVL; LKF; TES façade; Multi-active façade; Alingsås façade; Million Programme; Moisture risk analysis; Attachment; Thermal performance; WUFI; AUTOCAD; HEAT2; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : The building sector uses about 40% of the total global energy use. Sweden aims to reach its new goal to reduce the energy use in their residential sector as well as commercial sector by 20%, which should be reached by year 2020 and 50% by year 2050. READ MORE

  2. 2. Integrating Local Knowledge into the Spatial Analysis of Wind Power: The case study of Northern Tzoumerka, Greece

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Author : Athanasios Senteles; [2024]
    Keywords : Geography; Geographical Information Systems; MCDA; wind energy; local knowledge; Greece; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Abstract : Increasing demand for incorporating renewable energy projects into the national energy mix, is associated with international and European efforts to tackle the negative effects of climate change and strengthen energy resilience. Greece, as a member country of the European Union, has acknowledged that necessity, by implementing a national program aiming to significantly reduce Green House Gas Emissions and upscale Renewable Energy Sources (RES) project development in upcoming years. 3. 3. MANGO - Generating 2D-Magnetic Field Maps From Normal-Conducting Magnets Of Experimental Areas

    University essay from KTH/Fysik

    Author : Ambre Visive; [2023]
    Keywords : Applied Physics; Particle Physics; MANGO; Magnetic Field Maps; Normal-Conducting Magnets; Finite-Element Modelling; Opera-2D; Git Repository; Python Package; Beam Lines; Experimental Areas; CERN; Tillämpad Fysik; Partikelfysik; MANGO; Magnetfältskartor; Normalkonduktiva Elektromagneter; Finit Elementmodellering; Opera-2D; Git Repository; Python Package; Partikelstrållinje; Experimentområden; CERN;

    Abstract : This thesis discusses the development of MANGO, a tool created to model normal-conducting magnets which were installed in the 1970s in the experimental areas at CERN, and store their analysis. MANGO formulates an answer to two problems faced by the physicists of the Beam Department when they model a beam line: first, how to produce new magnetic field maps and, second, how to easily access existing ones? It contains a multi-use package that offers an automated process to produce magnetic field maps from finite-element models of magnets. READ MORE

  4. 4. Volumetric Rendering of the Inner Coma of a Theoretically Modelled Comet for Comet Interceptor Mission

    Keywords : Volumetric rendering; rendering; Comet; Coma; Dust Coma; Gas Coma; Blender; Comet Interceptor;

    Abstract : The Comet Interceptor is a joint mission by European Space Agency (ESA) and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) which seeks to perform a flyby over a Long Period Comet using a multi-element spacecraft. The Comet Interceptor comprises three spacecrafts- A, B1 and B2. READ MORE

  5. 5. Evaluating the performance of cone crushers under various feeding conditions using DEM and coupled DEM-MBS simulations

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematik

    Author : John Larsson; [2023]
    Keywords : Discrete Element Method; DEM; Cone Crusher; Segregation; Co-Simulation; Multi-body Dynamics; MBD;

    Abstract : Cone crushers are used in both the construction and mining industries for the production of aggregates and extraction of ores. Aggregates are used when building for example houses, roads and railways, hence the cone crushers are a vital part of modern society. READ MORE
