    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Mekanik och hållfasthetslära

    Author : Bharath Hungenahalli Shivanna; [2020]
    Keywords : Musculoskeletal; Modeling; Ballet; AnyBody Modeling System; Muscle Activations; Topple angle; Joint Reaction Forces; Kinematic Modeling; Motion Capture; Qualisys Marker Protocol; Human Body Model; Parameter Identification; Force plates; Arabesque; Pirouette; Center of Pressure; Center of Mass; Multi Body Dynamics; Scaling Human Body Model; Extra Drivers; Inverse dynamics.;

    Abstract : This thesis work comprises the working and simulation procedures being involved in simulating motion capture data in AnyBody Modeling System. The motion capture data used in this thesis are ballet movements from dancers of Östgöta ballet and dance academy. READ MORE

  2. 2. Evaluation of ULM for sub-wavelength imaging of microvasculature in skeletal muscles : A simulation study

    University essay from Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysik

    Author : Andreas Selin; [2020]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : A vital part of the human anatomy is the circulatory system, which branches out in a vast network of vessels delivering oxygen and other nutrients to all parts of the body. In a human adult, there are about 40 billion capillaries with a diameter of about 10 µm. READ MORE

  3. 3. Investigation of ECG electrodes for burn wounds

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för elektroteknik

    Author : Linus Falk; [2020]
    Keywords : ECG; electrode; burn; wound;

    Abstract : This project aims to investigate a variety of electrodes for ECG (electrocardiogram) measurements and find suitable ones for burn wounded skin in association with the Burn center in Uppsala University Hospital.   To this purpose, the electrical properties (in particular, electrical impedance and equivalent circuit) of electrodes and the influence of the skin on the electrical properties are looked into, and various common artefacts in ECG measurements are investigated, such as wandering baseline (caused by perspiration, respiration, patient movement and poor electrode contact), muscle tremor artefact, 50-60 Hz power line interference and measurement noise. 4. 4. Influence of Active Musculature & Parameters of the Final Pre-Crash State on the Occupant Response

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)

    Author : Lara Wehrmeyer; [2020]
    Keywords : Human body model; active musculature; occupant parameters; frontal impact; pre-crash manoeuvre; LS-Dyna; Aktiva humanmodell; aktiva muskler; åkande respons; frontal kollision; pre-crash manöver; LS-Dyna;

    Abstract : Collision avoidance systems have become an integrated part of modern vehicles and aim to avoid accidents or mitigate the crash severity for the occupant. For example, the autonomous emergency braking system influences the pre-crash state of the occupant in sitting posture, stress state, or velocity. READ MORE

  5. 5. Simulation of Lower Limb Muscle Activity During Inclined Slope Walking

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)

    Author : Ganesh Prasanth Arumuganainar; [2019]
    Keywords : Simulation OpenSim VICON Motion Capture Lower Limb Muscle Activity Analysis Inclined Slope Ramp Gait Analysis Biomechanics Considerations Robotic Exoskeleton Design;

    Abstract : Robotic exoskeletons are designed to assist patients with motor dysfunctions. Recent researches focus on extending the robotic assistance to patient activities other than ground level walking. This study aims to analyse the lower limb muscle activity during inclined slope walking contrasting with that of ground level walking. READ MORE
