  1. 1. Establishment of a deep learning algorithm for dosimetry of radiopharmaceuticals

    University essay from

    Author : Dennis Lipnicevic; [2022-01-13]
    Keywords : Medical physics; automated segmentation; dosimetry; kidney; nuclear medicine dosimetry; deep learning; convolutional neural network;

    Abstract : Purpose: The aim of this study was to introduce a volumetric convolutional neural network for segmentation of the kidneys in SPECT images and to apply it in the dosimetry of radiopharmaceuticals of this organ, in order to decrease segmentation time and to standardize the segmentation of the kidneys. Method: Three networks were trained using two network architectures and a total of 216 retrospectively collected images from patients that underwent imaging procedures at Sahlgrenska University Hospital between 2009 and 2018. 2. 2. Non-Bayesian Out-of-Distribution Detection Applied to CNN Architectures for Human Activity Recognition

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Serghei Socolovschi; [2022]
    Keywords : Human Activity Recognition; Deep Learning; Time Series; Uncertainty Estimation; Outofdistribution Detection; Convolutional Neural Network; Human Activity Recognition; Deep Learning; Tidsserie; Uppskattning av Osäkerheten; Outofdistribution Detection; Convolutional Neural Network;

    Abstract : Human Activity Recognition (HAR) field studies the application of artificial intelligence methods for the identification of activities performed by people. Many applications of HAR in healthcare and sports require the safety-critical performance of the predictive models. READ MORE

  3. 3. Hemocytes and neural injury in freshwater crayfish : Does the melanization reaction matter?

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildning

    Author : Amanda Gustafsson; [2022]
    Keywords : Melanization; neural injury; freshwater crayfish; Melanisering; nervskada; sötvattenskräfta;

    Abstract : Neurogenesis primarily occurs during embryonic development in decapod crustaceans, ending when the embryonic precursor cells die. However, areas in the central olfactory pathway are exceptions to this. Here, neurons are produced throughout the animal’s life from precursor cells in the neurogenic niche. READ MORE

  4. 4. Motion asymmetry in Swedish riding school horses : association to management factors

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry

    Author : Michelle Jobusch; [2022]
    Keywords : orthopaedic Health; lameness; movement symmetry; riding school horses; mobile phone application; management factors; horse factors;

    Abstract : Orthopedic disorders and injuries have a huge impact on horses, globally as well as in Sweden, and is a common reason for euthanasia in equine veterinary practice. Lameness is the most common sign of orthopedic pain and does not only come with welfare issues but also huge economic consequences. READ MORE

  5. 5. Classification of EEG Data Using Convolutional Neural Networks and the Scaled Reassigned Spectrogram

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistik

    Author : Karin Pagels; [2021]
    Keywords : Mathematics and Statistics;

    Abstract : Electroencephalography (EEG) is a medical technique for measuring brain activity through several channels connected to the scalp. Interpreting EEG data is a difficult problem because of the large amount of noise contained in the data. READ MORE
