  1. 16. Emergence of Structure in a Recurrent Network with Anisotropic Spatial Connectivity

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS); KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Malcolm Tivelius; Carl Nordling; [2018]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Today homogeneous Locally Connected Random Networks are often used while simulating activity in the brain. The two possible activation patterns in this case are either a stand still activation or a travelling wave. The activation pattern in the brain could however be seen as something else. READ MORE

  2. 17. Managed Distributed TensorFlow with YARN : Enabling Large-Scale Machine Learning on Hadoop Clusters

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Tobias Johansson; [2018]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Apache Hadoop is the dominant open source platform for the storage and processing of Big Data. With the data stored in Hadoop clusters, it is advantageous to be able to run TensorFlow applications on the same cluster that holds the input data sets for training machine learning models. 3. 18. Local positioning system for mobile robots using ultra wide-band technology

    University essay from KTH/Maskinkonstruktion (Inst.); KTH/Maskinkonstruktion (Inst.)

    Author : Filip Lensund; Mikael Sjöstedt; [2018]
    Keywords : ultra wide-band; UWB; localization; positioning; outdoor positioning; multilateration; reversed multilateration;

    Abstract : This thesis explores the possibility of using ultra wideband technology to localize anoutdoor mobile robot. More explicitly, this project focuses on the multilaterationproblem where the topology of the static reference anchors are changed. READ MORE

  4. 19. Dynamic Path Planning for Autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Urban Eriksson; [2018]
    Keywords : Path planning; RRT; RRT*; UAV;

    Abstract : This thesis project investigates a method for performing dynamic path planning in three dimensions, targeting the application of autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).  Three different path planning algorithms are evaluated, based on the framework of rapidly-exploring random trees (RRTs): the original RRT, RRT*, and a proposed variant called RRT-u, which differs from the two other algorithms by considering dynamic constraints and using piecewise constant accelerations for edges in the planning tree. 5. 20. Keyword connections between scientific papers written by KTH researchers

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS); KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Joakim Croona; Natalie Strömdahl; [2018]
    Keywords : network; keywords; graph; KTH;

    Abstract : There is an increasing interest in understanding and visualising interactions between researchers and scientific fields. Depicting the interactions can be done multiple ways. Furthermore, when many elements are involved, graphs is a good way to illustrate the interactions. READ MORE
