    University essay from KTH/Energiteknik

    Author : Lila Huet; [2019]
    Keywords : electric flexibility; storage technologies; state of art review; renewable energies; balance generation demand; France; Bretagne; linear optimization; merit order; nuclear; prospective scenarios; flexibilité électrique; technologies de stockage; état de l’art; équilibre production consommation; demande résiduelle; énergies renouvelables; scénario prospectif; optimisation linéaire; nucléaire; préséance économique; France; Bretagne; elektrisk flexibilitet; lagringsteknik; allmänt erkända tekniska; förnybar energi; balansgenerering efterfrågan; Frankrike; Bretagne; linjär optimering; meriteringsordning; kärnkraft; framtida scenarier;

    Abstract : The operation of electric grids depends on the balance between the electric generation and the demand. In France, the Transmission System Operator, RTE, is responsible for the stability and the security of the grid. Today, the electric generation follows the variations of the demand. READ MORE

  2. 2. Textile dyeing in Mali : possibilities for small scale effluent treatment

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Soil and Environment

    Author : Hanna Larsson; [2009]
    Keywords : water treatment; textile dyes; artisanal; Mali;

    Abstract : Water treatment is an important issue in Mali, an arid country where the Niger River is the mainrecipient for a large part of the effluents from industrial and small scale activities. Clothes dyed withsynthetic dyestuffs are an important part of the culture in Mali. READ MORE

  3. 3. Convergence improvement and qualification of a model for fission gas behaviour in nuclear fuel

    University essay from KTH/Numerisk analys, NA

    Author : Gaël Dubus; [2007]
    Keywords : modelling; nuclear; fuel; PWR; numerical; solver; convergence; qualification;

    Abstract : During the irradiation in a fuel assembly of a Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR), the thermal diffusion processes are not the only active mechanisms: the effects of irradiation are significant, involving variations of the diffusion coefficients as well as creation and evolution of point defects and cavities in the material.In this document we present the work we have done on MOGADOR, a numerical fission gas behaviour model for nuclear fuel under irradiation in a PWR focusing on the modelling of the behaviour of irradiation defects, fission gases and as-fabricated pores.
