    University essay from Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Author : Magnus Eriksson; [2012]
    Keywords : Sweden; tec-tonic subsidence; gamma ray; backstripping; Lower Palaeozoic; Colonus Shale Trough; Sorgenfrei-Tornquist Zone; Colonustråget; Sorgenfrei-Tornquistzonen; underpaleozoikum; tektonisk subsidens; Sverige; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Abstract : Colonustråget är en viktig tektonisk enhet i den s.k. Sorgenfrei-Tornquistzonen i Skåne, södra Sverige. Den sedimentära sekvensen består av en kambrisk till silurisk succession dominerad av finkorniga klas-tiska sediment samt en mindre del kalksten. READ MORE

  2. 12. Cosmic ray tracks in chondritic material with focus on silicate mineral inclusions in chromite

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Author : My Riebe; [2012]

    Abstract : It has been suggested that the cosmic ray flux varies as Earth moves relative to the spiral arms in the galaxy. However, no satisfying record over the cosmic ray flux over long time scales has been presented. READ MORE

  3. 13. Sequence stratigraphy, palynology and biostratigraphy across the Ordovician-Silurian boundary in the Röstånga-1 core, southern Sweden

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Author : Ahmed Salah Badawy; [2012]

    Abstract : A multiproxy study on sedimentary rocks spanning the Ordovician-Silurian boundary has been performed on material from the Röstånga-1 core, with the aims to improve the biostratigraphical and sedimentological framework and to interpret the depositional environment during this interval in Earth’s history. The sedimentary succession in the Röstånga-1 core is developed in the Scanian Lithofacies Belt and is considered an excellent upper Middle Ordovician-Lower Silurian reference section for southernmost Sweden.
