1. Reprocessing and Characterization of Polybenzimidazole for High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells
University essay from Lunds universitet/Centrum för analys och syntesAbstract : A reprocessing method of poly(2,2’-(m-phenylene)-5,5’-bibenzimidazole) (PBI) membranes recovered from the production line of High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (HT-PEMFC) at Blue World Technologies (BWT) has been developed in order to reduce material loss in the production. Redissolution of scrap PBI membranes in poly(phosphoric acid) (PPA) and phosphoric acid (PA) was successful and the subsequent washing procedure produced PBI that could be redissolved in N,N-dimethyl acetamide (DMAc) and suitable for solution casting of new membranes. 2. The effect of material properties on PEM fuel cell catalysts on durable oxidation reduction activity
READ MORE

3. Investigating Yttrium Ruthenate Pyrochlore as an Anodic Electrocatalyst in Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis
University essay from KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Abstract : As the energy transition progresses, the demand for green storage solutions is ever-increasing. Hydrogen storage is receiving increased interest and support due to its promising sustainability and flexibility. Proton-exchange, or polymer electrolyte, membrane (PEM) electrolyzers are a key technology supporting hydrogen storage systems. READ MORE

4. Development of a CFD model and methodology for the internal flow simulation in a hydrogen-powered UAV
University essay from KTH/FlygdynamikAbstract : In the context of an aviation industry whose top priority is to face the sustainability challenge, the growing civil UAV branch is not an exception. Hydrogen-powered UAVs equipped with PEM (Polymer Electrolyte Membrane) fuel cells are more and more frequently identified as the most convincing and promising technology, particularly for long-endurance mission requirements. 5. Analysis of Heating Processes for the Production of Bipolar Plates in PEM Fuel Cells
University essay from KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Abstract : Polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) are a promising alternative to combustion engines and batteries in vehicles. PEMFCs are more efficient than combustion engines, and cars powered by PEMFCs tend to have longer ranges than battery powered cars and has a short fuelling time. READ MORE
