  1. 1. Strongly First Order Phase Transitions and The Possibility of Electroweak Baryogenesis in General Two-Higgs-Doublet Models

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisation

    Abstract : The possibility to have a strongly first order electroweak phase transition, which is one of the Sakharov conditions for electroweak baryogenesis together with $\mathcal{CP}$ violation and baryon number violation, in general Two-Higgs-Doublet Models (2HDMs) is here investigated. Different kinds of $\mathbb{Z}_{2}$ breaking beyond standard assumptions are studied, in particular by allowing it to be completely broken as well as by assuming it to be only approximately preserved in the Yukawa sector. 2. 2. Isotopic Disequilibrium for Assessment of Radionuclide Transport in Peat Lands : Uranium-Thorium Series Nuclides in a Core from Klarebäcksmossen, Oskarshamn, Sweden

    University essay from Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Author : Fredrik Lidman; [2005]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : In order to assess the risks that are associated with a deep repository of nuclear waste, it is important to know how different radionuclides behave in different environments. Since some of the most critical radionuclides in nuclear waste such as Ra-226 occur naturally in the environment, it is possible to study their behaviour directly. READ MORE
