  1. 1. Navigating the Remote Landscape: Practices and Perceptions of Remote IT Team Leaders : A Survey-Based Study on Team Leaders Working Remote in the European IT Industry

    University essay from Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för informatik (IK)

    Author : Athanasios Pailas; [2024]
    Keywords : Remote; Virtual; Work; Team; Leaders; Leadership; Project; Management; Issues; Effects; Technostress; Anxiety; Practices; Perception; Productivity; Effectiveness; Software;

    Abstract : The increasing prevalence of remote/virtual work arrangements, facilitated by advancements in technology, necessitates a deep understanding of the unique dynamics involved in managing remote teams. This master's thesis explored the role of leadership within remote/virtual working setups in the Information Technology industry in Europe. READ MORE

  2. 2. Multiple-Emitter Super-resolution Imaging using the Alternating Descent Conditional Gradient Method

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Author : Dolev Illouz; [2023]
    Keywords : super-resolution; alternating descent conditional gradient method; ADCG; multiple-emitter localization; nanoscale imaging; single molecule tracking; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : This thesis examines the state-of-the-art 2D super-resolution technique alternating descent conditional gradient (ADCG) method's ability to accurately localize fluorophores in diffraction-limited single molecule images (SMI) and analyze the impact of pre-processing and post-processing modules on ADCG's fluorophore localization. A synthetic dataset obtained from the 2013 Grand Challenge localization microscopy and a temporally linked dataset obtained from an unpublished set of Optical DNA mapping experiments performed by Jonathan Jeffet at the NanoBioPhotonix Lab at Tel-Aviv University were initially segmented to extract their noise parameters. 3. 3. Function Computation via Over-the-Air Computation: Practical System Design

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Author : Yuzhi Chen; [2023]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Future wireless networks will need to contain millions of nodes, machines, and devices and provide high-speed and low-latency communication services. The traditional wireless network architecture design separates the communication and computation process, which has low utilization of wireless resources. READ MORE

  4. 4. Data-driven Interpolation Methods Applied to Antenna System Responses : Implementation of and Benchmarking

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Lucas Åkerstedt; [2023]
    Keywords : Model Order Reduction; Loewner Framework; State-space Representation; Nevanlinna-Pick Interpolation; Vector Fitting; Cauchy interpolation; Antenna System Responses; Benchmarking; MoM; Data-driven; Interpolation; Modelordningsreducering; Loewner Ramverk; Tillståndsrepresentation; NevanlinnaPick Interpolering; Vector Fitting; Cauchy Interpolering; Antennsystemsvar; Prestandajämförelse; MoM; Datadriven; Interpolering;

    Abstract : With the advances in the telecommunications industry, there is a need to solve the in-band full-duplex (IBFD) problem for antenna systems. One premise for solving the IBFD problem is to have strong isolation between transmitter and receiver antennas in an antenna system. READ MORE

  5. 5. A comparison between two computational tools estimating tumor purity using NGS data

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för fysik, kemi och biologi

    Author : My Eles; [2023]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : In 2020, cancer accounted for almost 20% of all deaths in the United States. Cancer is highly individual, and individualized treatments are essential in the battle against the disease. The tumor microenvironment is complex, and the cancer genome contains mutations driving the cancer. READ MORE
