  1. 1. Small-scale biogas : A techno-economic comparison of Internal Combustion Engines, Micro Gas Turbines and Stirling Engines

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Author : Emil Sund; [2020]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Gas driven power generation is expected to increase in the near future due to significantly lesser environmental impact than oppose to conventional fuels like coal and oil. Today, Natural Gas (NG) is the dominant product on the market and biogas, which originates from degradable organic waste, has not reached its full market potential due to bottlenecks in utilization. 2. 2. Analytical Method Development of Fluorinated Silanes using Mass Spectrometry

    University essay from Örebro universitet/Institutionen för naturvetenskap och teknik

    Author : Tea Eklundh Odler; [2018]
    Keywords : PFAS; Fluorinated silanes; Fluorinated siloxanes; 1H; 1H; 2H; 2H-Perfluorooctyl triethoxysilane; 1H; 1H; 2H; 2H-Perfluorodeyl triethoxysilane; FTOH; PFCA; APGC-MS MS; LC-MS MS;

    Abstract : The aim of this study was to develop an analytical method for fluorinated silanes. Furthermore, as a secondary aim, to explore if there would be possible to detect 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorooctyl triethoxysilane (6:2 PTrEtSi) and 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorodecyl triethoxysilane (8:2 PTrEtSi) in two different matrices, sludge and cosmetic extract. 3. 3. Perfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs), flame retardants and cyclic volatile methylsiloxanes in indoor air in Uppsala, Sweden : occurrence and human exposure assessment

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment

    Author : Bo Sha; [2017]
    Keywords : passive air sampling; SIPs; indoor air; PFAS; flame retardants; siloxanes; human exposure;

    Abstract : Indoor air samples were collected from three buildings located at the Swedish University of Agricultural Science (SLU) campus in Ultuna, Uppsala, Sweden and from residences of nine volunteers working in the three buildings. Sorbent-impregnated polyurethane foam (SIP) disk passive air samplers were deployed in different types of rooms in the three buildings including computer room (n = 1), labs (n = 3), lecture rooms (n = 3), offices (n = 8) and dining areas (n = 3) and homes (n = 9) of the volunteers between September and November in 2016.
