  1. 1. Virtual Sensing for Cluster Vacuum Control

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Author : Carl Egenäs; Axel Sacilotto; [2023]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The purpose of this project was to develop a virtual sensing model in order to estimate the vacuum level in the milking cluster with data collected further along the milk tube. Measuring the cluster vacuum level is desirable for many applications, such as control and monitoring, but due to the cow's tendency to kick, chew and stomp on anything within reach, placing a sensor in or close to the cluster is both difficult and impractical. 2. 2. A Swedish Perspective on Aggregators and Local Flexibility Markets : Considerations and barriers for aggregators and SthlmFlex together with their potential to manage grid congestions in Stockholm

    University essay from KTH/Energiteknik

    Author : Simon Färegård; Marko Miletic; [2021]
    Keywords : Demand side flexibility; aggregators; independent aggregators; congestion management; local flexibility markets; Eterfrågeflexibilitet; aggregatorer; oberoende aggregatorer; trängselhantering; lokala flexibilitetsmarknader;

    Abstract : Aggregators targeting smaller customers, and their possibility to alleviate grid congestions through local flexibility markets, is a new concept in Sweden. The study’s purpose consisted of four main objectives. Investigate SthlmFlex and compare it to two other European flexibility markets. READ MORE

  3. 3. Chaos in Stellar Dynamics - Outcomes of Binary-Single interactions in Globular Clusters

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Author : Lucas Hellström; [2020]
    Keywords : Stellar Dynamics; Binary-Single interactions; Dynamical encounters; Additional processes; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : Gravitational encounters between a single star and a binary system can frequently occur in the cores of dense stellar systems like globular clusters. These three-body scattering encounters can lead to a variety of outcomes since the energy of the binary components can be exchanged with the interacting single star. READ MORE

    Abstract : This thesis project was conducted at Sandvik and builds on a previous project, also conducted at Sandvik by the same authors, during the autumn of 2019. The work is part of a newly established ambidextrous development team that is split into an innovation branch and an execution branch, with the goal to become a digital factory. READ MORE

  5. 5. Simulation of Anti-Compton Shield Augmentation to the Lundium Decay Station Using Geant4

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Kärnfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Daesung Cho; [2019]
    Keywords : Lundium; Geant4; Anti-Compton shield; gamma spectroscopy; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : The Lundium decay station improves on the existing TASISpec spectrometer used to investigate the nuclear structure of superheavy nuclei by photon- and charged particle-spectroscopy. This thesis aims to explore the potential benefits of the future Lundium station with the augmentation of anti-Compton shields com- posed by a set of BGO scintillator bars. READ MORE
