  1. 21. Påverkan av olika kraftförhållanden på hovledens kollateralligaments utseende vid magnetisk resonans tomografi, "magisk vinkeleffekt"

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Clinical Sciences

    Author : Emma Lindell; [2013]
    Keywords : Kollateralligament; Hovled; Kraft; Tryck; Benställningar;

    Abstract : Vid undersökningar med stående lågfälts magnetisk resonans tomografi (MRT) har en artefakt i form av magisk vinkeleffekt i hovledens kollatteralligament (HKL) rapporterats vid T1-sekvenser. Den magiska vinkeleffekten ger en ökad signalintensitet i HKL och kan misstas för en desmit. READ MORE

  2. 22. Seismic tomography in the source region of the May 29th 2008 earthquake-aftershock-sequence in southwest Iceland

    University essay from Geofysik

    Author : Karin Berglund; [2012]
    Keywords : seismic tomography; Iceland; Mid-Atlantic ridge; seismisk tomografi; Island; mittatlantiska ryggen;

    Abstract : On May 29th 2008 two earthquakes with moment magnitude of Mw ~6 occurred in the southwestern part of Iceland. The second earthquake struck within only seconds after the first, on a fault ~5 km west from the first fault. The aftershock sequence was recorded by 14 seismic stations during the subsequent 34 days. READ MORE

  3. 23. Reflective tomography using a TCSPC system - a study of current limitations and possible improvements

    University essay from Institutionen för fysik

    Author : Tomas Olofsson; [2012]
    Keywords : Reflektiv tomografi; TCSPC; bildbehandling; RJMCMC;

    Abstract : Time-correlated single photon counting (TCSPC) systems are used for range profiling. The systems offer cm precision at kilometer ranges. This opens up for long range imaging with high resolution, for example by reflective tomography. With range profiles from various aspect angles around a target reflective tomography can be used to create an image. READ MORE

  4. 24. Correction for partial volume effects in PET imaging

    University essay from Radiofysik; Institutionen för fysik

    Author : Elin Wallstén; [2011]
    Keywords : PET; partial volume effects; PVE; recovery coefficients; deconvolution; point spread function; PSF; PET; partiella volymseffekter; pve; avfaltning; punktspridningsfunktion; PSF;

    Abstract : The limited spatial resolution in positron emission tomography (PET) images leads to difficulties to measure correct uptake in tumours. This is called partial volume effects (PVE) and can lead to serious bias, especially for small tumours. Correct uptake values are valuable for evaluating therapies and can be used as a tool for treatment planning. READ MORE

  5. 25. Evaluation of the reconstruction algorithm, Ordered Subsets Expectation Maximization, in whole body Positron Emission Tomography

    University essay from Institutionen för medicinsk teknik

    Author : Markus Svensson; [2008]
    Keywords : PET; OSEM; image recontruction; medical imaging;

    Abstract : A Positive Electron Tomography/Computed Tomography devise was installed in theX-ray section at US Linköping in May 2007. Positive Electron Tomography examinations with 18F-fluoro-deoxy-glucose are mainly used for tumor examinations. During 2007 occurred approximately 200 examinations and in 2008 600 are planned.
