1. Hybrid Microwave Resonator-Nanoscale Conductor Systems
University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematisk fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenAbstract : Entanglement is a fundamental aspect of quantum computation and quantum information processes. In this work, we analyse the entanglement of two microwave resonators when connected to a semiconductor double quantum dot. READ MORE

2. Quantum state tomography of attosecond electron wavepackets
University essay from Lunds universitet/Atomfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenAbstract : In this master thesis, a broad theoretical description is done of a novel quantum state tomography protocol called KRAKEN. This protocol is meant for the determination of the density matrix of an electronic state created by absorption of XUV radiation in the vicinity of a Fano resonance. At first, a description of the KRAKEN protocol is provided. READ MORE

3. Three material decomposition in dual energy CT for brachytherapy using the iterative image reconstruction algorithm DIRA : Performance of the method for an anthropomorphic phantom
University essay from Institutionen för medicinsk teknik; Tekniska högskolanAbstract : Brachytherapy is radiation therapy performed by placing a radiation source near or inside a tumor. Difference between the current water-based brachytherapy dose formalism (TG-43) and new model based dose calculation algorithms (MBSCAs) can differ by more than a factor of 10 in the calculated doses. 4. Theoretical investigation of the first-order hyperpolarizability in the two-photon resonant region
University essay from Institutionen för fysik, kemi och biologiAbstract : Time-dependent density functional theory calculations have been carried out to determine the complex first-order hyperpolarizability in the two-photon resonance region of the molecule IDS-Cab. Calculations show that three strongly absorbing states, in the ultraviolet region, are separated to the extent that no significant interference of the imaginary parts of the tensor elements of the first-order hyper-polarizability occurs.
