EV CHARGER

Abstract: This bachelor degree project started out with the question of how future transportation is going to look like and what steps we need to take to ensure that the combustion engine will be in the past. The changes we need to do is evident; electric vehicles are a fast-moving industry, and a global adoption is just a few years ahead. The biggest holdback for accepting electric vehicles is battery capacity and availability for charging. I decided to tackle the problem of charging and how a simple but widely spread charging solution will help the transition. Today there are not enough available charging solutions on the market, and together with Trollhättan Energi, I have developed both service solutions and charging solutions for their needs that work for homes and work environments. A charging solution that is easily accessible and can be installed in different environments to solve the most significant issues electric car owners have.
