Abstract: This paper describes the development of a current measurement method implemented
on a controller card for use in electric motor drives for hybrid vehicles. The emphasis
of the work is on the simulation and implementation of the current measurement system
that is succesfully evaluated. The current measurement saves power by saturating
the transformer core between samples. Hence the name maximized saturation method
(MSM).
