Djurhållning och hälsoproblem i svenska mjölkgetbesättningar : sett ur djurägarperspektiv

Abstract: Very little is known about the health situation amongs Swedish dairy goats. The population of Swedish dairy goats can only be estimated, and that number is somewhere <5500 individuals. A questionnaire was sent to dairy goat-farmers and 22 answers were evaulated in this study. The questions involved how the farm was run and the farmers experience of the health situation among their goats. The answers were highly diverse and more studys will have to be done to learn more about the health situation among the Swedish dairy goats. Acoording to the answers from the questionnaire the most common disease amongs swedish dairy goats were mastitis.
