Combining Acoustic Echo Cancellation and Voice Activity Detection in Social Robotics
University essay from KTH/Matematik (Avd.)
Abstract: This thesis is partly a theoretical introduction to some basic concepts of signal processing such as the Fourier transform, linear time invariant systems and spectral analysis of random signals, both in the continuous and discrete setting. A second part is devoted to theory and applications of echo cancellation and voice activity detection in so called social robotics. Existing methods are presented along with new specialized methods and both are later evaluated.
