Utbredning av Plasmodiophora brassicae som orsakar klumprotsjuka

University essay from SLU/Dept. of Soil and Environment

Abstract: Clubroot disease is an increasing problem in the world's oilseed crops production. The aim of this work is to take the first step in doing a survey of the spread of clubroot disease in Sweden, as well as to do a literature study on the biology of the organism that causes clubroot disease and its proliferation in some other countries. The survey of the distribution of clubroot disease in Sweden is based on soil samples submitted to Eurofins Agrotesting Sweden AB from members of Svensk Raps around the country, along with analysis of clubroot disease from various rapeseed field studies in Sweden, and are visualised in a map. Svensk Raps is an industry company that was formed to strengthen the competitiveness of Swedish oil crop. The analysis results have been obtained from Albin Gunnarsson at Svensk Raps and Ann-Charlotte Wallenhammar at The Rural Economy and Agricultural Societies Örebro. The maps from different parts of the world highlighted here show great difficulties in mapping the actual distribution. This also applies to the Swedish map that was started in this work. To obtain a more accurate picture of the actual spread, more fields need to be analysed and the fields need to be randomly distributed.
