Abstract: Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to develop an integrated theoretical framework that conceptualizes the relations between MCS and ambidexterity. Further, using the integrated theoretical framework, this paper aims to investigate the potential tensions that can arise as banks engage in innovative activities and the role of MCS in achieving organizational ambidexterity.
