The content and business possibilities of directive 2002/91/EC about buildings energy performance

Abstract: In December of the year 2002 the directive 2002/91/EC of buildings energy performance was embraced. This directive means concise that all buildings, with a few exceptions, must become energy certified. In this certification the buildings energy performance shall be mentioned and the certification will consist of two parts. The first part is a poster which is supposed to be put up on a visible place in the building, for example a wall. ÅF is an international technology consulting firm and it was found in the year 1895. Last year ÅF stood for nearly eight percent of the technical consulting firm’s turnover in Sweden. They are today offering a service that resembles the coming certification. Suggestions on how the energy consumption can become less are a part of this service also a mapping of the energy is done. To be able to decide how the certifications can be sold with the resembling services a number of interviews has been conducted. According to these interviews it would be interesting if the domestic electricity was review in connection with the certification.
