Abstract: Methane and oxygen are a promising propellant combination in future rocket propulsion engines mainly due to its advantages like reusability and cost reduction. In order to have a comprehensive understanding of this propellant combination extensive research work is being done. Especially, for reusable rocket engines the thermal calculations become vital as an effective and efficient cooling system is crucial for extending the engine life.
