Review of inclusive data for electron scattering on ³He at Jefferson Lab

Abstract:

This thesis reviews the inclusive data from experiment e89044 at JeffersonLab, Newport News, Virginia, USA. This experiment studied electron scat-tering on 3 He for beam energies up to 4 GeV. Data was taken at both forwardand backward angles with the same four-momentum transfer, namely Q² be-tween 0.8 and 4.1 (GeV/c)² . In this thesis I have investigated the behaviorof inclusive data with respect to some of the available variables and whatcuts to place on them to filter out events of interest.
