Abstract: Nursing and intersectionality is yet an under-explored field of research. This study is a tentative of reflecting about the interconnections between the care process in health settings such as mental health and end-of-life care, body experience and multiple aspects of health, discrimination and hierarchies in the medical setting. This reflection aims at recognizing spaces of autonomy where nursing knowledge could actively contribute to oppose to the medical patriarchal knowledge. By using an intersectional lens, the purpose of this study is to highlight how connections between biopower, assemblages and affective labor may provide useful inputs to the nursing profession and to recognize its potential for subversion
