Abstract: To improve meetings and presentations, many presenters use digitally interactive presentations. During an event, the audience can vote, brainstorm, share thoughts and ask questions via their phones, tablets and computers, while the results are shown live. The data is often stored and, can usually be exported. A tool that offers these services is Mentimeter. Their users can download a spreadsheet with their presentation data. The company, Mentimeter AB, intends to updating said spreadsheet and hope to make it more valuable. However, the knowledge of their users is limited. One of the few known use cases, is a teacher that uses the export to track individual students results over time. Due to this limited information, the aim of this thesis is to learn about the users and their needs. The method is a combination of data from Mentimeter AB’s database and a survey. In order to build a reliable survey, a pre-study is carried out. This is based on semi-structured interviews and older user feedback that the company had access to. Results show that users from all fields exported occasionally, but users from education, technology or finance do it more frequently. Their main motivation is to store, share and/or analyze the data, and they do so in the spreadsheet. Analyzing means compare/combine different iteration of the same presentation, calculate values such as Net Promoter Score, track students progression, make graphs and evaluate the presentation. Users have many desires, but often fail to share the reason for their requirement, making it difficult to understand their actual need. However, all identified requirements can be found in this report as a list. The recommended improvements aims to remove certain organization steps and future investigation of timestamps.
