Abstract: How the city is designed affects our decisions. The city's structures affect our movement and how we choose our path. How do we make these decisions? This essay examines our movement in the city and on what we bias our decisions on. It appears that the direction of street and different structures of the city is important when we navigate in the city. The work also includes an interview study were the subjects were asked to walk a wellknown path and the questions were asked on the way. Most of the subjects seemed to think that a pleasant appearance of the chosen streets and the fact that they thought that the route were the fastest were the most important factors. The social factor also seemed to be of great importance, which was remarkable. The conclusions that was drawn was, that there are different types of movement and that this affects our paths in different ways. Also that the feeling of going in the right direction affects us in our decisions.
