  1. 1. Development of a microfluidic device to study simultaneous crystallization in the LIBs recycling process

    University essay from KTH/Kemiteknik

    Author : Shefali Paresh Solanki; [2023]
    Keywords : Battery recycling; microfluidics; simultaneous crystallization; simulation; crystal technology; microfluidics experimental setup; Batteriåtervinning; mikrofluidik; simultan kristallisering; simulering; kristallteknologi; mikrofluidikexperimentuppställning;

    Abstract : Återvinning av litiumjonbatterier (LIB) är avgörande på grund av kritiska råmaterialreserver och miljöhänsyn vid kassering. Hydrometallurgisk LIB-återvinning, en framstående industriell teknik, står inför kostnadseffektivitets- och komplexitetsutmaningar. READ MORE

  2. 2. Method development of flow cytometry analysis of yeast and lactic acid bacteria viability for alcohol fermentation

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Teknisk mikrobiologi; Lunds universitet/Bioteknik

    Author : Megha Komahan; [2023]
    Keywords : Flow cytometry; yeast; lactic acid bacteria; fermentation; cell viability; applied microbiology; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : The usage of yeast in conventional brewing techniques involving alcoholic fermentation is an age-old process. Analyzing the viability and obtaining physiological information regarding the microbial diversity of the fermentation samples plays a pivotal role in obtaining real-time information as well as developing a more efficient process design. 3. 3. Development of a qPCR method for detection and quantification of Ustilago nuda and COX1 gene in Barley seeds

    University essay from Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för biovetenskap

    Author : Umer Shaukat Ali; [2023]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Barley loose smut caused by the fungal pathogen Ustilago nuda is a global concern with detrimental effects on barley production. Early detection of this infection is vital for effective disease supervision. However, current seed health testing protocols suffer from limitations in terms of time and efficiency. READ MORE

  4. 4. Evaluation of SLAM based mobile laser scanning and terrestrial laser scanning in the Kiruna mine : A comparison between the Emesent Hovermap HF1 mobile laser scanner and the Faro Laser Scanner Focus3D X 330 terrestrial laser scanner

    University essay from Högskolan i Gävle/Samhällsbyggnad

    Author : Claes Gustafsson; [2023]
    Keywords : Terrestrial laser scanning; mobile laser scanning; simultaneous localization and mapping; underground mapping; Kiruna mine.;

    Abstract : The mining industry has over the last few decades seen a drastic increase in the usage of laser scanning technologies as a way of creating 3D maps of the mines being exploited. Underground mapping in places such as mines has become more prevalent as the technology has progressed and made it easier to generate highly detailed point clouds faster. READ MORE

  5. 5. Multiple-Emitter Super-resolution Imaging using the Alternating Descent Conditional Gradient Method

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Author : Dolev Illouz; [2023]
    Keywords : super-resolution; alternating descent conditional gradient method; ADCG; multiple-emitter localization; nanoscale imaging; single molecule tracking; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : This thesis examines the state-of-the-art 2D super-resolution technique alternating descent conditional gradient (ADCG) method's ability to accurately localize fluorophores in diffraction-limited single molecule images (SMI) and analyze the impact of pre-processing and post-processing modules on ADCG's fluorophore localization. A synthetic dataset obtained from the 2013 Grand Challenge localization microscopy and a temporally linked dataset obtained from an unpublished set of Optical DNA mapping experiments performed by Jonathan Jeffet at the NanoBioPhotonix Lab at Tel-Aviv University were initially segmented to extract their noise parameters.
