  1. 6. Multifunctional ice and snow repellent coatings for photovoltaic modules

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Solcellsteknik

    Author : Gunnar Sandkvist; [2023]
    Keywords : sol-gel; superhydrophobic; dip-coating; anti-reflective; silica;

    Abstract : Implementation of solar power by photovoltaic modules in cold climates, such as northern Sweden, implies several challenges. Ice and snow coverage not only leads to reduction in energy production due to shading, but it also puts equipment at risk from additional weight. READ MORE

  2. 7. TRACKING WASTEWATER EMISSIONS IN RIVERS ENTERING GULF OF BOTHNIA COAST

    University essay from Umeå universitet/Institutionen för ekologi, miljö och geovetenskap

    Author : Helen Mkandawire; [2023]
    Keywords : Nutrients inputs; wastewater; coastal waters; Gulf of Bothnia; wastewater emissions; nutrient transportation; marine water; nutrient loading; eutrophication.;

    Abstract : The Gulf of Bothnia consists of two sub-basins in the northern Baltic Sea: the Bothnian Sea (salinity 4-5‰) and Bothnian Bay (salinity 2-3‰). Changing nutrient concentrations and signs of eutrophication has recently been observed in the Gulf of Bothnia. READ MORE

  3. 8. System impact of micro-production

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Industriell elektroteknik och automation

    Author : Annie Haraldsson; [2023]
    Keywords : Fault ride through; LVRT; micro-production; solar production; photovoltaics; fault simulation; network modeling; power system disturbances; PMU-registrations; fault analysis; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : The focus in this thesis has been active power from small scale solar production and what possible impacts an increased proportion of small scale production can have, in a larger context, during short circuit (SC) faults in the grid. The main research question prompting this work was whether active power from small scale solar pro- duction can help support voltages during SC faults, and meet LVRT-requirements in the RfG. 4. 9. Do Geopolitical Risks Raise or Lower Inflation in Sweden?

    University essay from Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för finansiell ekonomi

    Author : Artur Henriksson; Carl Ahlberg; [2023]
    Keywords : Geopolitical Risk; War; Inflation; Vector Autoregression; Sweden;

    Abstract : Using two main datasets, one annual from 1900 to 2022, and one monthly from 2012 to 2023, containing a geopolitical risk index and multiple inflationary factors for both Sweden and Denmark, we construct VAR models to estimate the effect geopolitical risk has on inflation. In our annual dataset, we find that higher geopolitical risks foreshadow higher inflation and lower economic activity in Sweden. READ MORE

  5. 10. Investigating a possible dearth of stars with zero angular momentum in the solar neighbourhood.

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Aayush Desai; [2023]
    Keywords : Galaxy: disk; Galaxy: fundamental parameters; Galaxy: kinematics and dynamics; Galaxy: nucleus; solar neighborhood; stars: kinematics and dynamics; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : Background. Carlberg & Innanen (1987) first proposed the idea of measuring the solar re- flex velocity (the velocity of the Sun around the galactic centre), Vg,⊙, using the momenta of the stars in the solar neighbourhood. The proposal was a consequence of the work of L. READ MORE
