  1. 16. CP Violation Studies in Cascade Decay Sequence

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Kärnfysik

    Author : Roman Sultanov; [2022]
    Keywords : CP violation; cascade; decay; asymmetry parameters; polarisation; uncertainty;

    Abstract : This thesis studies CP violation in the decay of the Ξ− hyperon, also known as the cascade baryon, which decays in the sequence Ξ− → Λπ− → pπ−π−. A difference between the angular distribution of this decay sequence and the angular distribution of the charge conjugate decay sequence ͞Ξ+ →͞Λπ+ → ͞pπ+π+, after taking into account the inversion of the momenta due to the parity operation, is indicative of CP violation. 2. 17. An evaluation of coverage models for LoRa

    University essay from Jönköping University/JTH, Avdelningen för datateknik och informatik

    Author : Felix Paulsson; Issa Bitar; [2021]
    Keywords : LoRa; LoRaWAN; IoT; Empirical models; Path loss; Attenuation; Coverage;

    Abstract : LoRaWAN is a wireless network technology based on the LoRa modulation technology. When planning such a network, it is important to estimate the network’s coverage, which can be done by calculating path loss. To do this, one can utilize empirical models of radio wave propagation. 3. 18. Improvement of the robustness and performance of time of arrival algorithms

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Signaler och system

    Author : Kristian Huotila; [2021]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : 5G offers several new improvements compared to its predecessors, such as higher speeds, lower latency and larger capacity. In order to ensure this, time of arrival algorithms are used in the Radio Access Networks for several purposes. Some of them are 3D positioning of User Equipment and synchronization. READ MORE

  4. 19. Adiabatic Shortcut to Geometric Quantum Computation in Noiseless Subsystems

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Materialteori

    Author : Anton Gregefalk; [2021]
    Keywords : Quantum computer; Spin echo; Adiabatic shortcut; Berry s phase; Noiseless subsystems; Kvantdator; spinn eko; adiabatisk genväg; Berrys fas; Brusfria delsystem;

    Abstract : Quantum computers can theoretically perform certain tasks which classical computers at realistic times could not. Operating a quantum computer requires precise control over the system, for instance achieved by adiabatic evolution, and isolation from the environment to retain coherence. READ MORE

  5. 20. Enhancing the Decoding of Short LDPC Codes with Stochastic Sequences

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik

    Author : Yuyuan Gu; Haien Li; [2021]
    Keywords : 5G; channel coding; LDPC codes; stochastic decoding; stochastic computation; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) codes are one of the most popular codes used in nowadays’ communication due to their high coding efficiency at low decoding complexity. With these characteristics, LDPC codes are suitable for high-speed information transmission systems. READ MORE
