  1. 16. Time Signatures in Modern Music

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Musikhögskolan i Malmö

    Author : Gonçalo Alexandre Soares Rodrigues; [2023]
    Keywords : Time signatures; Free Notation; Modern Music; Witold Lutosławski; György Ligeti; composition; quantitative qualitative rhythm; Performing Arts;

    Abstract : In the beginning of the 20th Century with the emergence of a new musical language as the Second Viennese School (Alban Berg, Arnold Schoenberg, and Anton Webern) took over, suddenly music pushed forward and away from traditional harmony, rhythm and even notation. Music started to lose its traditional feel of patterns, cadences and regularity and instead embraced new complexity, as composers started to avoid time signature patterns, tonal melodies, and harmonies. 2. 17. The effect of disorder on the axial anomaly in a lattice model in 1 + 1 dimensions

    University essay from KTH/Fysik

    Author : Agnes Wattrang; [2023]
    Keywords : Axial anomaly; tight-binding model; semiclassical physics; correlated disorder.; Axial kiral anomali; tätbindningsmodell; semiklassisk fysik; korrelerad oordning;

    Abstract : This work investigates the effect of a disorder potential, that represents impurities/dislocations in the lattice, on the time-dependent signature of the axial anomaly in a one-band tight-binding model in one spatial dimension. The tight-binding model is solved numerically and the simulation results are compared with a semiclassical expression for the time-dependent axial density, n5(t), due to Nielsen and Ninomiya [1]. 3. 18. The tangled Warp of the Milky Way

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Astrofysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Viktor Hrannar Jónsson; [2023]
    Keywords : Galaxy: structure; Galaxy: kinematics and dynamics; Galaxy: disk; Galaxy: evolution; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : Context: The Milky Way disc, like the discs of many other spiral galaxies, has been shown to be warped. The growing astrometric data set for stars produced by the Gaia mission allows for more detailed studies of the stellar disc's warp. READ MORE

  4. 19. Evaluation of algorithms for accurate micro-doppler effects measurement in FMCW radar

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Fysik, elektroteknik och matematik; Linköpings universitet/Tekniska fakulteten

    Author : Morgan Agerstig Rosenqvist; [2023]
    Keywords : Radar; FMCW; micro-Doppler; RPM;

    Abstract : Micro-Doppler effects are phenomena that occur because of micro-motion. A micro-motion is either a vibration, rotation, or acceleration which is small relative to the motion of the target. These effects can be used in order to characterize a target through their signature movement. READ MORE

  5. 20. The startup journey from idea to first Proof of concept - customer : A multiple case study

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Author : Rita Blomstersjö; Axel von Grothusen; [2023]
    Keywords : Entrepreneurship; Proof of concept; Customer acquisition; B2B; Startup; Sell first - Build later.; Entreprenörskap; Produkt validering; Kundförvärv; B2B; Startup; Sälj först - bygg sen.;

    Abstract : Startups within the tech field are incraesingly using proof of concept (POC) customers as a partner when developing new products and services as this enables them to sell the product before building it, ensuring that the product they are developing is aligned with the market needs before making it avaliable to a wider market. Becasue of the positive results that designing and developing new products together with users and customers have shown, the acqusition of POC customers has become a crucial step in the product development process for many startups.
