  1. 11. Performance of 2-18 GHz RF Switches Implemented in Chip & Wire Technology : Analysis of switch topologies, bias networks and an in-depth EM analysis of bondwires

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Gustav Eliasson; [2023]
    Keywords : RF Switch; PIN diode; Chip Wire Technology; Wide Bandwidth; High isolation; Single-Pole-Single-Throw; Single-Pole-Double-Throw RF Switch; PIN diode; Chip Wire Technology; Wide Bandwidth; Single-Pole-SingleThrow; Single-Pole-Double-Throw; RF-omkopplare; PIN-diod; Chip Wire Tekonologi; Bredbandig; Hög isolation; Enkelpolig-enkakast; Enkelpolig-dubbelkast;

    Abstract : The ability to control the path a signal takes through microwave circuitry is crucial when designing RF systems. The component that allows for the control of the signal path is called a switch, and it is the microwave component that this thesis will focus on. READ MORE

  2. 12. Spectromorphological Reductions : Exploring and developing approaches for sound-based notation of live electronics

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Musik, medier och teater

    Author : Hans Lennart Jonsäll; [2023]
    Keywords : live electronics; electronic music; electroacoustic music; notation; spectromorphology; typo-morphology; Sound Notation; digital musical instruments.;

    Abstract : In this master’s thesis, a sound-based notation system is explored and developed in the composition and performance of a musical work for live electronics. My approach builds on existing systems for electroacoustic music analysis, most notably Dennis Smalley’s (1997) theory of spectromorphology and the symbolic language of Lasse Thoresen & Andreas Hedman (2007) based on Pierre Schaeffer’s typo-morphology, as well as Mattias Sköld’s (2023) adaptation of this system for composition and transcription (Sound Notation). 3. 13. Exploring daylight in two different hemispheres.

    University essay from KTH/Ljusdesign

    Author : Carolina Borgia Stagnaro; [2023]
    Keywords : Daylight; Climate adaptation; Regenerative evolution; Sustainable development;

    Abstract : Daylight is an essential element for both the built and natural environment. A careful design that acknowledges daylight performance can improve energy efficiency and environment protection, thus making construction more sustainable. However, allocating time to deeply evaluate all the aspects in a project might be challenging. READ MORE

  4. 14. Bluetooth Based Bird Detection System

    University essay from Blekinge Tekniska Högskola

    Author : Muppireddy Sai Charan Reddy; Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Murthy Namuduri; [2023]
    Keywords : Bluetooth; Avifauna; Signal strength; Distance estimation; Bird Detection;

    Abstract : Context: Windmills became one of main sources of energy. Sincethey are placed in open areas, there are many chances that birds mayenter the wind farms and get killed or damaged. Some wind farms usepulse radar systems for saving the birds from windmills. In this pulseradar technology, the turbines are turned off automatically when a birdis detected. READ MORE

  5. 15. Interest rates and their impact on the stock market : Evidence from Sweden

    University essay from Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för management (MAN)

    Author : Felicia Andersson; Robin Fogelberg; [2023]
    Keywords : Interest rate; Stock market; OMX30; Vector autoregressive VAR model; Granger causality test; Short-term interest rate; Long-term interest rate; Sweden;

    Abstract : This study will be investigating the relationship between short-term and long-term interest rates with the OMX30 stock return expressed in percentage, as well as the effect that the interest rates have on the stock return. The data used in this study has been collected from the dataprogram Datastream with monthly observations from January 2003 until December 2022 resulting in 240 different variables within all three factors over a period of 20 years.
