Abstract: The central part of my project is its brewery. This is the first thing you see when entering the building and the opening in the brewery’s roof offers a visual connection between the two floors of the building. Beer from the brewery is served in the restaurant. There are a variety of seating possibilities, inside, outside or up on the second floor. The inside of the first floor offers a cozy basement-like environment with brick walls ant a relatively low ceiling. Outside there’s a terrace with views of the Eskilstuna river in every direction. On the second floor there are rooms with possibility of seating groups, for example for beer tastings. The building is built of brick. The intention is to use recycled bricks and to assemble it in suck a way as to make it easier to dismantle for future recycling. This can be achieved by using weaker mortar that is possible to clean off without damaging the brick. The building is placed at the Eskilstuna river at the edge of the water. This is partially to offer the views of the river but the river’s water can also be used for cooling in the brewing process.
