Abstract: The concept of distributed detection is a fundamental method in statisticalinference which has many applications in real life. However, the informationtransmitted between the sensors and fusion node cannot always be consideredto be secure. Therefore, in some works, the concept has been extended to includean eavesdropper in the system setup. The overall goal of this master thesis is to develop a proof-of-concept of thetheoretical works on distributed detection with privacy. This is done by usingthe data provided by the HVAC system deployed on the second oor of Q buildingin KTH. Two models which describe the sensor measurement(observations)related to the considered hypothesis are proposed. The results show that the models are reasonable. Therefore, the target ofthis project is fullled. Improvements and some ideas about future work arealso proposed.
