  1. 1. Classification of microbiome data with structural zeroes and small samples

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Author : Jun Li; [2021]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : OTU data possesses its uniqueness of small sample size and high proportion of zeros,because of which the classification is of huge challenge. The thesis covers case ofstructural zeros in OTU counts and tries to establish new methodology based on Kaul’sassumption and the original model. READ MORE

  2. 2. A Combination method of Fingerprint Positioning and Propagation Model Based localization scheme in 3D Large-Scale Indoor Space

    University essay from Mittuniversitetet/Avdelningen för informationssystem och -teknologi

    Author : Jun Liu; [2018]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : To achieve the concrete aim of improving the positioning accuracy for large-scale indoor space in this thesis, we propose a weighted Gaussian and Mean hybrid filter (G-M filter) to obtain the G-M mean of received signal strength indicator (RSSI) measurements, which is implemented by taking the practically experimental measurements of received signal strength indicator and analyzing the characteristics of received signal strength indicator. Meanwhile, various path loss models have been utilized to estimate the separation between the transmitting antenna and the receiver (T-R separation) by calculating the G-M mean of received signal strength indicator, therefore, a dynamic-parameter path loss model has been proposed which can be appropriate to enhance the accuracy of estimated T-R separation and accurately describe the indoor position. 3. 3. Learning to Manage the Unmanageable. A Case Study on Exchange Rate Risk Management within Globally Sourcing Multinational Corporations.

    University essay from Göteborgs universitet/Graduate School

    Author : Charlotte Granfors Wellemets; Jun Liu; [2017-07-27]
    Keywords : Exchange Rate Risk Management; Multinational Corporations; Global Sourcing; Risk Management; Capability Transfers;

    Abstract : Background and problem: Existing research has shown that the various risks related to multinational corporations’ (MNCs) supply chains are inherent cost drivers, creating managerial challenges and coherently affecting the bottom line of the companies ( Clark & Marois, 1996; Stanczyk et al., 2017 ). Abstract : The purpose of this Bachelor thesis was to establish a method for determining the chemical oxygen demand (COD) fractionation in wastewater from cruise liners. COD fractions of interest were soluble biodegradable (SS), particulate biodegradable (XS), soluble unbiodegradable (SI) and particulate unbiodegradable (XI). READ MORE

  5. 5. Water Situation In China - Crisis Or Business As Usual?

    University essay from Industriell miljöteknik

    Author : Elaine Leong; [2013]
