  1. 1. Design of a predriver for an EDMOS-based Class-D power amplifier

    University essay from Elektroniska komponenter; Tekniska högskolan

    Author : Taif Mohsin; [2013]
    Keywords : RF; Power amplifier; DE; PAE; Output power; Effective area; Reliabilty issues; Predriver; EDMOS; CMOS.;

    Abstract : This thesis addresses the potential of implementing a predriver for class-D power amplifier for WLAN in 65 nm CMOS technology. In total, eight different predrivers have been created using Cadence Virtuoso CAD tools. All designs have been tested using Agilent's Advance Design System (ADS) and simulated using the ADS-Cadence dynamic link. READ MORE

  2. 2. Investigating the Application of Environmentally Friendly Solutions in Refrigeration Applications of Uganda

    University essay from Högskolan i Gävle/Akademin för teknik och miljö

    Author : Thomas Makumbi; [2013]
    Keywords : Environmentally friendly; refrigeration; applications; Uganda;

    Abstract : The earliest refrigerants used were R40, R764, R717, R290 and R600a but these had drawbacks of flammability, toxicity, unpleasant smell as well as a challenge of leakage through the shaft seals of compressors. In 1931, these were replaced by CFCs and HCFCs due to safety and reliabilty concerns. READ MORE

  3. 3. A Comparison of EDMOS and Cascode Structures for PA Design in 65 nm CMOS Technology

    University essay from Elektroniska komponenter; Tekniska högskolan

    Author : Mahir Jabbar Rashid Al-Taie; [2013]
    Keywords : RF; Power amplifier; Linearity; PAE; Reliabilty issues; EVM; Cascode; HV-MOS; EDMOS; Matching networks.;

    Abstract : This thesis addresses the potential of implementing watt-level class-AB Power Amplifier (PA) for WLAN in 65 nm CMOS technology, at 2.4 GHz frequency. In total, five PAs have been compared, where the examined parameters were output power (Pout), linearity, power added efficiency (PAE), and area consumption. READ MORE
