  1. 16. A study of methods to synchronize different sensors between two smartphones

    University essay from KTH/Hälsoinformatik och logistik

    Author : John Abdulnoor; Ramy Gawriyeh; [2021]
    Keywords : Sensors; android; smartphones; synchronization; internal clocks; Cristian’s algorithm; Marzullo’s algorithm; round-trip time; Wi-Fi Direct; Sensorer; android; smartphones; synkronisering; interna klockor; Cristians algoritm; Marzullos algoritm; round-trip time; Wi-Fi Direct;

    Abstract : Obtaining data simultaneously from different sensors located on different mobile devices can be useful for applications such as sports and medicine. In order for the data from the different sensors to be combined for analysis, the mobile devices need to be time synchronized first. READ MORE

  2. 17. E-noses equipped with Artificial Intelligence Technology for diagnosis of dairy cattle disease in veterinary

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Farbod Haselzadeh; [2021]
    Keywords : Artificial intelligence; Electronic nose; Gas sensor arrays; Principal component analysis; Autoencoder; Veterinary diagnose; Feature extraction; Dimentionality reduction; Normalization; Maskin intelligence; Artificial intelligence; Elektronisk näsa; Gas sensore array; Normalisering; dimensionalitetsminskning; Autoencoder; Klassificering AI; E-nose; Feature Extraction; Normalization; PCA; Autoencoder; Encoder; Decoder; MLP; Classifier; LDA; Support Vector Machine; Logistic Regression; Cross Validation; Signal segmentation;

    Abstract : The main goal of this project, running at Neurofy AB, was that developing an AI recognition algorithm also known as, gas sensing algorithm or simply recognition algorithm, based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, which would have the ability to detect or predict diary cattle diseases using odor signal data gathered, measured and provided by Gas Sensor Array (GSA) also known as, Electronic Nose or simply E-nose developed by the company. Two major challenges in this project were to first overcome the noises and errors in the odor signal data, as the E-nose is supposed to be used in an environment with difference conditions than laboratory, for instance, in a bail (A stall for milking cows) with varying humidity and temperatures, and second to find a proper feature extraction method appropriate for GSA. 3. 18. HETEROGENEOUS BATTERY SYSTEMS IN BATTERY EQUIPPED PASSENGER TRAINS

    University essay from Mälardalens högskola/Akademin för innovation, design och teknik

    Author : Emil Lundin; Johan Bergelin; [2021]
    Keywords : LabVIEW; MATLAB; Simulink; Control theory; Battery; Batteries; Li-ion; Heterogeneous batteries; LTO; NMC; Electronics; Electrical; Engineering; Simulation; Trains; SysML; UML; LTSpice; Design of experiments; DOE; Sensor technology; Railway; EV; Electrical vehicles;

    Abstract : The rise of batteries in the industry, especially Li-ion, is increasing rapidly. Li-ion battery systems are traditionally composed of a particular type of cell chemistry fit to the system needs. Due to the significant differences between chemistries, different cells have different attributes. READ MORE
