  1. 1. sEMG Classication with Convolutional Neural Networks: A Multi-Label Approach for Prosthetic Hand Control

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik

    Author : Alexander Olsson; [2018]
    Keywords : Electromyography; Machine Learning; Deep Learning; Gesture Recognition; Neural Networks; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : In myoelectric prosthesis design, there is often a trade-off between control robustness and range of executable movements. As a low movement error rate is necessary in any real application, this often results in a quite severe limitation on the dexterity of the user. READ MORE

  2. 2. Robust control of hand prosthesis using electromyography, accelerometers and gyros

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik

    Author : Viktor Löfving; [2017]
    Keywords : Prosthesis control; EMG; surface electrodes; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : The goals of this project are to investigate the viability of using the MyoTM armband developed by Thalmic labs as a tool for myoelectric control of a hand prosthesis as well as investigate whether the armbands ability to record its spatial position and orientation can be used to increase the performance of the prosthesis control program. Using the surface electrodes, gyroscopes and accelerometers of the MyoTM armband, a control system for myoelectric control of a hand prosthesis was created and tested on nine different users. 3. 3. A manual alphabet for touchless gesture-controlled writing input with a myoelectric device : Design, evaluation and user experience

    University essay from Umeå universitet/Institutionen för informatik

    Author : Raphaela Bieber Bardt; [2015]
    Keywords : Gesture-controlled writing input; manual alphabet; user experience; gesture-based interaction; Embodied Interaction; myoelectric gesture control;

    Abstract : The research community around gesture-based interaction has so far not paid attention to the possibility of replacing the keyboard with natural gestures for writing purposes. Additionally, insight into the actual user experience of such an interaction style is only insufficiently provided. READ MORE
