  1. 1. Photophysics of the polymer acceptor PF5-Y5 in organic photovoltaics : A first principles theory based study

    University essay from Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskap och fysik (from 2013)

    Author : Anton Almén; [2022]
    Keywords : PF5-Y5; Non-fullerene-acceptor; NFA; polymer; fundamental; optical; gap; oxidation; reduction; exciton; binding; energy; oligomer; length; PF5-Y5; Non-fullerene-acceptor; NFA; polymer; fundamentalt; optiskt; gap; oxidation; reduktion; exciton; binding; energi; oligomerlängd;

    Abstract : Non-fullerene Acceptors (NFAs) have gathered a great deal of interest for use inorganic photovoltaics (OPVs) due to recent breakthroughs in their power conversion efficiency and other advantages they offer over their Fullerene-based counterparts. In this work, a new promising non-fullerene polymer acceptor, PF5-Y5, have been studied using density functional theory and time-dependent density functional theory; and the effects that oligomer length, geometry relaxation and exchange-correlation interaction has on the exciton binding energies (the difference between optical and fundamental energy gaps) have been investigated. 2. 2. Importance of atomic force microscopy settings for measuring the diameter of carbon nanotubes

    University essay from Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskap och fysik (from 2013)

    Author : Anton Almén; [2019]
    Keywords : Carbon nanotubes CNTs ; Atomic force microscopy AFM ; diameter; height; tapping; frequency; phase; amplitude; setpoint; Kolnanorör; Atomkraftsmikroskopi AFM ; diameter; höjd; svängning; frekvens; fas; amplitud; börvärde;

    Abstract : Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have gathered a lot of interest because of their extraordinary mechanical, electrical and thermal properties and have potential applications in a wide variety of areas such as material-reinforcement and nano-electronics. The properties of nanotubes are dependent on their diameter and methods for determining this using atomic force microscopy (AFM) in tapping mode assume that the measured height of the tubes represent the real diameter. 3. 3. Efficiency in distribution : as a cost saver and environmental impact reducer

    University essay from IHH, Centre of Logistics and Supply Chain Management

    Author : Anton Lindholm Johnsson; Tomas Almén; [2009]
    Keywords : Transportation; efficiency; cost reduction; environment; fill rate; consolidation; mode of transportation;

    Abstract :   The environmental aspect of transportation has got a lot of attention over the past years. It has its origin in the growing awareness of environmental problems such as the global warming. Today the environmental aspect of transportation is widely discussed and is being recognized as a very important question to deal with for everyone involved. READ MORE
