  2. 17. Geolocation by Light using Target Tracking

    University essay from Reglerteknik; Tekniska högskolan

    Author : Linus Envall; [2013]
    Keywords : target tracking; EKF; solar elevation angle; light intensity; geolocation; smoothing; filter bank; IMM;

    Abstract : In order to understand the migration patterns of migrating birds, it is necessary to understand whenand where to they migrate. Many of these birds are very small and thus cannot carry heavy sensors;hence it is necessary to be able to perform positioning using a very small sensor. One way to do this isto use a light-intensity sensor. READ MORE

  3. 18. MOBILE PHONE ACOUSTICS : PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF SPECTRAL SUBTRACTION AND ELKO’S ALGORITHM USING SPEECH QUALITY METRICS

    University essay from Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Sektionen för ingenjörsvetenskap

    Author : Sai Kiran Chittajallu; [2013]
    Keywords : Acoustics; PESQ; ELKOS; Spectral Subtraction; WOLA; Reverberation;

    Abstract : In recent years a great deal of effort has been expended to develop methods that determine the quality of speech through the use of comparative algorithms. These methods are designed to calculate an index value of quality that correlates to a mean opinion score given by human subjects in evaluation sessions. READ MORE

  4. 19. Microphone Array Wiener Beamforming with modeling of SRP- PHAT for Speaker Localization

    University essay from Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Sektionen för ingenjörsvetenskap

    Author : SRISESHUKUMAR BASAVA; [2012]
    Keywords : MIcrophone array; Wiener beamforming; Source localization;

    Abstract : The use of microphone arrays to acquire and recognize speech in meetings (conference) poses several problems for speech processing as there exist many speakers within a small space, typically around a table. The necessity to design a suitable microphone array system with minimum noise and more efficient localization algorithms is drawing attention of researchers to work on it. READ MORE
