    Abstract : Due to precipitation poor winters and springs and over-exploitation of groundwater reserves during the summer months as a consequence of tourism, the island of Gotland has experienced fresh water shortages during recent years which has led to harsh restrictions in the use of municipal water. In order to find a solution to the islands fresh water problems, the region of Gotland and the Swedish Environmental Institute (IVL) have initiated a project in which the southernmost part of Gotland, Storsudret, will be used as a test site for new methods of sustainable freshwater storage and extraction methods. 2. 2. Behaviour modelling of vehicles at a Roundabout

    University essay from Högskolan i Halmstad/Halmstad Embedded and Intelligent Systems Research (EIS)

    Author : Sharan Amar Magavi; [2020]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : This thesis concentrates on the motion prediction of the agents utilizing the behaviour model. In an autonomous environment, the agents need to beaware of other agents’ position and actions to minimize the use of emergency braking, thereby reducing collisions and damages. READ MORE

  3. 3. Development of a 2D Optimal Path Simulation for Ship-to-Shore Cranes : Safe Trajectories within Interchangeable Obstalce Environments

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Fordonssystem

    Abstract : The most advanced ports as of writing of this report are at least somewhat autonomous. Whether discussing the transporters between crane and stack (temporary storage) or cranes, the ports are shifting into a completely autonomous system. This ultimate goal presents a challenge in regards to unloading and loading cargo ships in the harbour. READ MORE

  4. 4. A pragmatic approach to improve the efficiency of the waste management system in Stockholm through the use of Big Data, Heuristics and open source VRP solvers : A real life waste collection problem;Stockholm’s waste collection system and inherent vehicle routing problem, VRP

    University essay from KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Author : Rafael Salcedo Villanueva; [2020]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : In this thesis, we will address a real life waste collection problem; Stockholm’s waste collection system and inherent vehicle routing problem, VRP. To do this we will first delve into some mathematical theory of Combinatorial Optimization and Heuristics to understand the fundamentals of the problem. READ MORE
