The legacy of apartheid : Educational inequalities in post-colonial Namibia

Abstract: Namibia has been ranked as one of the most unequal countries in the world. As the headline indicates, the present thesis studies the educational inequalities that were implemented during the apartheid rule, but place emphasis on how these are being manifested and reproduced in post-colonial Namibia. This is analyzed through a racial perspective. The method applied is Grounded theory and the theoretical concepts are racialization and Bourdieu‘s symbolic capital.
