  2. 2. Quantification of Waste Generation in the EU - A PPCA and regression analysis on prediction of recyclable waste

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Miljövetenskaplig utbildning

    Author : Filip Sandkvist; [2016]
    Keywords : Correlation; multivariate; PCA; recyclable; regression; waste; avfall; korrelation; multivariat; återvinningsbar; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Abstract : In this study, data of the generation of recyclable wastes from the EU member states, and possible explaining factors for describing this generation, are examined through a combination of Probabilistic Principal Component Analysis (PPCA) and multivariate regression analysis. The purpose is to identify some of the biggest contributors to the generation of recyclable wastes, and, based on these contributors, find a linear function that describes the generation of different recyclable wastes, as well as assess the predictive power of this function. 3. 3. Probabilistic Feature Learning Using Gaussian Process Auto-Encoders

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Avdelningen för systemteknik

    Author : Simon Olofsson; [2016]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The focus of this report is the problem of probabilistic dimensionality reduction and feature learning from high-dimensional data (images). Extracting features and being able to learn from high-dimensional sensory data is an important ability in a general-purpose intelligent system. READ MORE
