  1. 1. GRAPHENE MODIFIED E-TEXTILE : AN INDUSTRY RELEVANT APPROACH OF DOPING AND VISUALISING A FULLY TEXTILE P-N JUNCTION DIODES

    University essay from Högskolan i Borås/Akademin för textil, teknik och ekonomi

    Author : Bilel Meskini; [2023]
    Keywords : E-textile; viscose; polyester; graphene; graphene oxide GO; reduced graphene oxide rGO; tannic acid; plasma treatment; electrochemical deposition; doping; semiconductor;

    Abstract : As a wonder material, graphene has been studied in various applications due to its exceptional properties. Recently it has been used in textile to obtain functionalised garments as E-textile. From an industry-relevant perspective, it is essential to introduce a process that could be scaled-up. READ MORE

  2. 2. Reprocessing and Characterization of Polybenzimidazole for High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Centrum för analys och syntes

    Author : Douglas Björkengren; [2023]
    Keywords : polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells; PEMFC; HTPEMFC; polymer technology; polymer characterization; reprocessing; recycling; polybenzimidazole; PBI; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : A reprocessing method of poly(2,2’-(m-phenylene)-5,5’-bibenzimidazole) (PBI) membranes recovered from the production line of High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (HT-PEMFC) at Blue World Technologies (BWT) has been developed in order to reduce material loss in the production. Redissolution of scrap PBI membranes in poly(phosphoric acid) (PPA) and phosphoric acid (PA) was successful and the subsequent washing procedure produced PBI that could be redissolved in N,N-dimethyl acetamide (DMAc) and suitable for solution casting of new membranes. 3. 3. Characterisation of Ionic Liquid doped Polybenzimidazole Membranes for Application in High-Temperature Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Kemiteknik (CI)

    Author : Adam Jacobsson Trönndal; [2023]
    Keywords : Fuel cells; Phosphoric acid; Polybenzimidazole; PA-PBI; Ionic liquid; IL; High temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell; HT-PEMFC; Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy; EIS; IL-PBI; Chemical engineering; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : In this study four membranes were tested and evaluated against each other for use in high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell (HT-PEMFC) applications. A phosphoric acid (PA) doped polybenzimidazole (PBI) membrane, was used as a reference as the current state-of-the-art. READ MORE

  4. 4. Electrochemical behavior of conducting polymers

    University essay from KTH/Kemi

    Author : Raghda Kalifa; [2022]
    Keywords : Cathodic protection; conducting polymers; conductivity; structure; compression; Katodiskt skydd; ledande polymerer; konduktivitet; struktur; kompression;

    Abstract : Ett stort industriellt problem när det gäller metalliska material är korrosion. En metod för att förhindra korrosion är genom en elektrokemisk process som kallas katodiskt skydd vilket kan utföras på två olika sätt: Katodiskt korrosionsskydd med påtryckt ström (ICCP) eller offeranod (SACP). 5. 5. Probing ion movement in conjugated polymers

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Strukturkemi

    Author : Markus Hall; [2019]
    Keywords : Light-emitting electrochemical cell; conjugated polymer; electrochemical doping; MEH-PPV; lithium; trifluoromethanesulfonate; trimethylolpropane ethoxylate;

    Abstract : Electronic conduction in conjugated polymers can be increased through electrochemical doping. This is utilised in light-emitting electrochemical cells and allows for a less demanding manufacturing process compared to the related organic light-emitting diode. READ MORE
