  1. 1. An experimental phenomenological study of a systems thinking & contemplative education approach to teaching climate change in educational settings.

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för kulturgeografi och ekonomisk geografi; Lunds universitet/Humanekologi

    Author : Josephine Lau Jessen; [2022]
    Keywords : experimental phenomenology; systems thinking; contemplative education; climate change education; leverage points.; Social Sciences;

    Abstract : Educational systems constantly shape and rebuild our lives. Faced with the urgency of climate change, the development of knowledge by students about the climate crisis and their own role in global systems is critically important to prepare them for their future lives as global citizens and decision makers. 2. 2. The dancing qualities of the cinematic space: a methodological experiment in order to perceive the motion picture as a dancing body.

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för konsthistoria och visuella studier

    Author : Gianmarco Donaggio; [2022]
    Keywords : Cinematic space; postmodern dance; movement; phenomenology; film; avant-garde; Arts and Architecture; Performing Arts; Philosophy and Religion;

    Abstract : The thesis is proposing a method to perceive the cinematic space as a body in motion. The foundation for such an experimental method is traced within the investigation of the movement in the study of the motion picture, as well as in a phenomenological approach to dance, and in selected theories from the continental philosophy of the 20th century. 3. 3. Studies of Dark Showers for Present and Future Colliders

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Nicoline Krogh Hemme; [2022]
    Keywords : high-energy particle physics; dark matter; collider physics; beyond the standard model; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : In this work we explore a strongly-interacting dark sector with a Z’ portal to the Standard Model. We focus on the dark shower phenomenology and their semi-visible jet signatures with a strong emphasis on first principles of the theory. READ MORE

  4. 4. Exploring a Two Higgs Doublet Model with a U(1) Family Symmetry and a Complex Singlet

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Author : Michal Nowak; [2021]
    Keywords : Two Higgs Doublet Model; Complex Singlet Extension; Phenomenology; Physics Beyond the Standard Model; Branco-Grimus-Lavoura Model; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : In this project a two Higgs doublet model with a complex singlet and an extra family symmetry providing a mechanism for suppression of flavor changing neutral currents is explored. The goal is to investigate the phenomenological consistency of the model using a custom software framework. READ MORE

  5. 5. Primordial Gravitational Waves and ultra-light Dark Matter in a complex singlet extended Standard Model

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik; Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisation

    Author : Sara Wildenor; [2021]
    Keywords : theoretical physics; gravitational waves; dark matter; complex singlet extended standard model; LISA; BBO; DECIGO; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : In this thesis, the consequences of extending the internal symmetries of the standard model with a complex singlet scalar field, are investigated in terms of dark matter phenomenology and the possibility of primordial gravitational wave detection utilizing space based laser interferometry. The scalar potential of the model is constructed with a Z2 symmetry, which allows for the retainment of a linear and a quadratic coupling parameter, as well as a stable dark matter candidate, and an additional non-zero vacuum expectation value for the real component of the scalar field.
