  1. 11. Investigation of recovery of stellar magnetic field geometries from simulated spectropolarimetric data

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för fysik och astronomi

    Author : Ahmed Al Kanale; [2017]
    Keywords : Magnetic Doppler Imaging MDI code INVERS10;

    Abstract : Powerful remote sensing techniques can covert time variability of polarization profiles of stellar spectral lines into vector magnetic fields maps of stellar surfaces. These techniques are widely applied to interpret observations but have been tested using only simplistic tests. READ MORE

  2. 12. Mayonnaise: Quality and Catastrophic Phase Inversion

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Livsmedelsteknik och nutrition (master)

    Author : Ebba Widerström; Rebecca Öhman; [2017]
    Keywords : Mayonnaise; catastrophic phase inversion; quality; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : In industrial production of mayonnaise it is important to both get a product of high quality and to avoid phase inversion. To investigate how the quality and phase inversion point are affected by changes in the production, a high shear mixer and an immersion blender were used to make mayonnaise. READ MORE

  3. 13. Measurement Strategies for Geoelectrical Tomography: Specialized Techniques for Multichannel Instruments

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematik LTH

    Author : David Belfrage; [2017]
    Keywords : Electrical resistivity tomography; tomography; optimization; Mathematics and Statistics;

    Abstract : How to select which measurements to make during a geoelectrical resistivity survey has been an active field of research for decades. Despite this techniques for optimizing the measurement sequences so as to take full advantage of the multichannel capabilities of modern state of the art equipment are scarce. READ MORE

  4. 14. Can elicited imitation be used to measure grammatical development : a cross-sectional study of L2 Swedish within the framework of the Processability Theory

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Allmän språkvetenskap

    Author : Karin Rasmusson; [2016]
    Keywords : second language acquisition; free production; processability theory; elicited imitation test; Swedish as a second language; Languages and Literatures;

    Abstract : Abstract The aim of the thesis was to examine whether or not the elicited imitation test can be used as a valid tool for measuring developmental sequences of grammatical structures in the production of L2 Swedish derived from the Processability Theory (PT, Pienemann, 1998). The thesis aimed to answer the following questions: Will the participants follow the predicted implicational pattern of the developmental stages of PT in both the elicited data and the free production data? If they do not, are there any differences between the participants’ results of the elicited data and the free production data? Are there any participants who can process a later stage without a prerequisite stage in the two sets of data? The elicited data was collected by recording nine L2-learners of Swedish imitating 29 model sentences pre-recorded by an L1-speaker of Swedish. READ MORE

  5. 15. WIND ENERGY UTILIZATION IN ARCTIC CLIMATE – RACMO 2.3 GREENLAND CLIMATE RUNS PROJECT

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Author : José Pedro da Silva Soares; [2016]
    Keywords : Wind Power; Greenland; RACMO 2.3; Mesoscale; Microscale;

    Abstract : The potential for wind power development in Greenland is evaluated based on the analysis of 58 years of data (1957-2015) from RACMO 2.3 (Regional Atmospheric Climate Model). In order to create a wind power development tool, mesoscale maps based on RACMO 2. READ MORE
