Abstract: Background: Tai chi impact on patients with mild cognitive impairment, delay theprocess of cognitive impairment and may help promote their recovery.Aim: To describe the effects of Tai Chi in older people with mild cognitive impairment.Methods: The eligible literature in PubMed and CINAHL database were searched andscreened, and finally 11 articles have been selected.Results: The effects of all studies were divided into two categories: physical effects andpsychological effects. There were nine physical effects and ten psychological effects,which were judged by changes in balance, cognition, sleep and physical state.Conclusions: Tai chi affects mild cognitive impairment from the physical andpsychological aspects, mainly affecting the body balance and cognitive aspects.Therefore, nurses can further understand the impact of tai chi to improve treatmentprograms to better exert the impact of tai chi on patients with awareness disorders.Key words: Elderly people, Mild cognitive impairment, Tai Chi
